Day Training
Day Training is for people who want real progress but do not have the time to put in all the reps during the day. Your dog comes to me and gets consistent, structured work throughout the day. We are working on listening, making better choices, and understanding what is expected in real life situations.
Dogs that are social will also get play time with other dogs, and we use that time to work on obedience in a group setting so they are learning to stay engaged and make good decisions around distractions.
This program gives you the kind of progress you would expect from a board and train, without your dog having to stay away from home. While your dog is learning here, I will also show you exactly how to handle them at home so it all carries over. The goal is a dog that is easier to live with, not just one that listens during training.
How Day Training Works
Start with a Free Consultation
We start with a free consultation so we can meet, talk through your goals, and create a training plan that fits you and your dog. This gives me a clear picture of what you are dealing with and how to move forward.
Consistent Training Days
Once signed up, your dog will come to my location twice a week for 5 weeks. During that time, we focus on leash skills, basic obedience, manners, and encouraging calm, clear behavior.
Dogs that are social will also get structured play, and we use that time to work on obedience around distractions.
You will get regular updates along with photos and videos so you can see the progress along the way.
Owner Training and Follow Up
You will not be left guessing on what to do once your dog goes home. I will walk you through exactly how your dog has been trained and how to handle them moving forward.
Your program includes two private lessons to keep you on track and make sure everything is coming together. You will also have guidance between training days so you can continue building on the progress at home.
Skills We Focus On
- Loose leash walking
- Basic obedience and follow through
- Impulse control and calm behavior
- Recall and engagement
- Door manners and boundaries
- Neutrality around people, dogs, and distractions
- And more based on your dog and goals!
Training is customized to your dog and your goals. Every dog is different, so we focus on what they need most—whether that’s building a solid obedience foundation, improving behavior, or working through specific challenges. The goal is to create clear communication and practical skills that carry over into your everyday life.
