Welcome to All Ears Up
Specialty pet services for your dog including training, daycare, and boarding
All Ears Up in Ashland, Ohio is not your average dog training, boarding, and daycare facility. Everything here is built around structure, clear communication, and training that carries over into real life. We focus on creating a program for each dog as an individual, recognizing that every dog has different needs, personalities, and learning styles.
What sets All Ears Up apart is the balance between training and care. Whether your dog is here for training, boarding, or daycare, they’re not just being cared for. They’re learning, building better habits, and gaining structure. From social dogs to those that need more one-on-one time, every dog is handled in a way that sets them up for success.
Why Choose All Ears Up?
Training-Based Approach to Care
I keep things safe, structured, and centered around the dogs so they can relax, play, and just be dogs. I don’t run large, chaotic play groups. Dogs are kept in smaller, well-matched groups based on personality, size, and play style. Dogs have both indoor and outdoor time built into their day, giving them a good balance of activity and downtime.
Training is the foundation of everything I do. I start with a positive approach to teach and build understanding, then layer in accountability so dogs clearly know what’s expected. No matter what service you book, your dog is learning and building better habits, boundaries, and clarity in real-life situations. Boarding is kept small scale for more individual attention, with an in-home option available for a more personal, home-style stay.
Custom Training & Care Approach
No two dogs are the same, and I don’t train them like they are. Every dog comes in with different personality, drive, and needs, so I adjust how I work to fit the dog in front of me. My goal is to create clarity for the dog and the owner, building behaviors that are consistent, reliable, and realistic for everyday life.
For daycare, dogs are evaluated to make sure they’re placed in the right environment and group. Boarding dogs have the option for a meet and greet beforehand, and training clients start with a consultation so we can build the right plan from the start. This process helps set each dog up for success and ensures they’re in the right program with the right structure from day one.
Your Dog’s Well-Being Comes First
Your dog’s well-being is always a priority here. I focus on keeping dogs in a calm, structured environment where they can settle, feel comfortable, and not become overwhelmed. Rest, routine, and appropriate outlets are just as important as activity, and I make sure each dog gets the balance they need throughout the day.
Cleanliness, safety, and proper handling are taken seriously, and dogs are always monitored to ensure they’re comfortable and doing well. By keeping things structured and intentional, dogs are able to relax, learn, and enjoy their time here in a way that sets them up for success.
Purposeful Play & Engagement
Play isn’t just about burning energy, it’s a tool I use to build engagement, confidence, and structure. Dogs are given outlets that match their energy level and personality, whether that’s tug, flirt pole, or interactive play. The goal is to create clear rules within play so dogs learn impulse control while still having fun..
Dogs also have access to enrichment toys and activities to keep them mentally engaged throughout the day. By adding structure and intention to both play and enrichment, dogs learn how to turn on and off, stay engaged, and respond appropriately instead of becoming over-aroused or out of control.
